Lily Sugar'n Cream Solids

Started - February 11, 2019
Completed - February 13, 2019

Notes: I cast on 37 with this first cloth. Next time I will cast on 43 for a slightly larger cloth, knit rows 1-8 one more time (13 rows of bricks), and knit one more row 7 before binding off. Used EZ’s sewn bind-off and I really like it!
I used the following instructions for this cloth.
Cast on 37 stitches with Color A (when asked to slip stitch, do so purlwise). Carry the alternating color up the side (don’t stitch with it - just cross it over the stitch so that it is carried up)
On the two slipped stitches at the ends - on all RS rows, slip these two stitches with yarn in back, on WS rows, slip them with yarn in front.
RS Row 1: (Color A) Knit until two stitches left, S2 with yarn in back
WS Row 2: (Color A) P until last two stitches, S2 with yarn in front
Row 3: (Color B) K6, slip 1, =K5, slip 1=, continue between = across to last 6 stitches, K4, S2 with yarn in back
Row 4: (Color B) P2, K4, YF, slip 1, YB, =K5, YF slip 1, YB=, continue between = across to last 6 stitches, K4, S2, with yarn in front
Row 5: (Color B) K2, P4, YB, slip 1, YF, =P5, YB, slip 1, YF= continue between = across to last 6 stitches, P4, S2 with yarn in back
Row 6: (Color B) Repeat Row 4
Row 7: (Color A) Knit across to last 2 stitches, S2 with yarn in back
Row 8: (Color A) Purl across to last 2 stitches, S2 with yarn in front
Row 9: (Color B) K3, Slip 1, =K5, Slip 1=, continue between = across to 3 stitches left, K1, S2 with yarn in back
Row 10: (Color B) P2, K1, YF, Slip 1, YB, =K5, YF, Slip 1, YB= continue between = across to 3 stitches left, K1, S2 with yarn in front
Row 11: (Color B) K2, P1, YB, Slip 1, YF, =P5, YB, Slip 1, YF= Continue between = across to 3 stitches left, P1, S2 with yarn in back
Row 12: (Color B) Repeat Row 10.

Repeat these twelve rows 6 times finishing with rows 1 and 2. (12 rows of “bricks” total)
Bind off with EZ’s sewn bind-off.

Needles
US 8 - 5.0 mm

Yarn
Caron Cakes
Rainbow Sprinkles

Started - January 27, 2019
Completed - March 24, 2019

Notes: Cast on 178 stitches using German Twisted Cast On. (5 stitch garter edge on both sides and 7 24-stitch repeats.)
Knit 6 rows garter edging. (1 1/3 row in second color.)
Purl one row between borders. Then begin pattern.
Use invisible increase instead of YO for increases.
Next time cast on one extra stitch for the last pattern repeat. In this way there will not be a funny gap between the last stitch of the pattern repeats and the border stitches. Also, try the YO on RS and KTBL of YO on WS.

First sock finished on 1/12/19. I got distracted by my first diamond painting. lol

Update: I should've looked at the recommended needle size for this yarn. The socks are quite dense using the needles I used. I may just re-knit these so they are a better size and fit.

I had a lot of fun knitting this hat! I haven’t done a lot of colorwork but I think it turned out very well. It’s a little too tall for my head. It looks like my row gauge is a little off but I haven’t blocked it yet. Hope to add pictures soon!

Notes: Here are my notes for how I do these little ornaments!

I used dpns.. but you could certainly use magic loop!
Cast on 28
Cuff: 1x1 rib for 8 rounds
Leg: Knit 24 rounds
Heel: I used Fish Lips Kiss Heel , for the ease of the heel, you can feel free to substitute your favorite heel. (I had 3 twin stitches on each side of middle six.. then did boomerang. )
Foot: knit 14 rounds
Toe:
Round 1: Instep (top of foot): knit 1, ssk, knit to last 3 sts on instep k2 tog, k 1. Sole (bottom of foot): k1, ssk, knit to last 3 sts on sole k2tog, k1.
Round 2: knit
Repeat rounds 1 and 2 until you have a total of 12 stitches left. Kitchener toe together.
For the loop at the top to hang the ornament from I have just used some yarn and attached it at the cuff of the sock. You could do a crochet chain, an icord. Whatever you fancy! :)

Notes: April 6, 2018 (PM) ~ I started out using a size 4.5mm hook and some KP WOTA in the Wonderland Heather colorway. I’m a tight crocheter so I thought this might work. I soon found out the cozy was too big and I wasn’t going to have enough yarn. I pulled out some KP Brava Sport in the Wine colorway and I think this will work perfectly. I’ll start again in the morning and may just have a finished cozy by the end of the day!

Notes: I wasn’t happy with the way this washcloth was working up. The right side of the “wedges” was very squished but the left side looked nice. I’m fairly new to crochet so I don’t know if my mods are acceptable but here goes. For Round 7, I decided to do my own thing, (sl st, ch 3, dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in first ch-1 sp, dc in next 5 dc, sk next 1 st, dc in next 5 dc, sk next 1 dc. (2dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in first ch-1 sp, dc in next 5 dc, sk next 1 st, dc in next 5 dc, sk next 1 dc. This looked much more symmetrical so I did the same thing on Round 8. Next time I’ll do the same thing on the previous rounds.
